John 1:46 KJV And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.
If you’ve been alive long enough, chances are that you may have heard one or two disparaging things said about you that may make you doubt the future. Nevertheless, it is God who has the final say, not man. “Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God” (Corrie ten Boom).
Philippians 3:13-14 KJV
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do , forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those thing which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
To move forward in life, you have to make peace with your past, however it was, and then move forward. You can’t run a race while carrying a burden, and similarly one must literally free your mind from past hurts, disappointments, etc to be able to move on. Paul had been a major instrument in the persecution of Christians, but he didn’t allow that from preventing himself to be used by God as much as possible. That should be our attitude this year. We shouldn’t let our past determine our future. “Don’t let your background drop your back to the ground”💥💫
Philippiens 3: 13-14 LSG
I love you
God loves you more
Acts 1:6-8 ESV
So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
After all that they had seen Jesus do, and all that He had gone through with them, the question they asked after His resurrection showed clearly that they were still not exactly aware of what was going on. After the question they asked, Jesus completely gave them a different spiritual answer. He did not berate them or criticize them for not seeing things as they should have. Rather, He saw into the future when they would be witnesses of Him; to be a witness you have to be sure of one’s facts. He saw beyond their present lack to how it would be in the future. No matter the present, God knows what He sees in you. Even if that seems opposite to the future. God sees the best in you.
