Confidence

Genesis 40:14,23 KJV [14] But think on me when it shall be well with thee…and make mention of me unto Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house: [23] Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgat him.

Psalm 118:8 KJV : [8] It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

Sometimes God allows the people we try to depend upon to disappoint us, to teach us to trust in Him alone. Where there are no expectations, there are no disappointments. “Unlike people, God will never turn His back on you. Trust in Him with all your heart, and you will never have to worry about being betrayed” (Edmond Mbiaka).
