Who Do You Live For?

 2 Corinthians 5:9 KJV
Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.”
Life is only really worth living if we have a cause greater than ourselves to live for. Like for the God who brought us here in the first place. It only makes sense. And strangely, Paul was speaking to a people who were Christians, the Corinthians. In verse 15 of the same chapter he told them, ” 2 Corinthians 5:15 KJV
And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again”.

That means as Christians sometimes we can lose sight of our calling. Jesus warns us against letting the issues of life getting the better of us and preventing us from bearing fruits. Lecrae, one of my favorite gospel singers, or rappers says in one of his songs, “What’s the point of living if I’m living for myself?” Christians have been brought from a kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of the Son God loves. Though easy to, we should strive to never lose sight of the One who has called us. We should look up to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. If we look up to ourselves, or others, or the world around us, we’ll only go so far before we hit a dead end.

By so doing will our lives be really worth living.
